About This Spot
Stepping into Folsom Palace feels like entering a warm, familiar neighborhood spot where the rhythm of daily life slows just enough to welcome comfort and connection. The atmosphere hums gently with the quiet clink of plates and friendly exchanges, a space where care and attention ripple through every detail—from the inviting décor to the attentive, yet unhurried service.
This restaurant is a beloved corner of Folsom, known among locals as a place where food nourishes more than just the appetite. Whether dining in or taking food to go, visitors find a thoughtful balance between generous portions and flavors made to linger—simple, heartfelt dishes that bring friends and families together around the table. The kitchen’s steady flow serves up all the familiar favorites with a touch of loving craftsmanship: crispy, honey-glazed prawns that melt with each bite, deeply savory stir-fries, and warm, satisfying dumplings that can quietly win over even the most particular palates.
There’s a genuine care in how meals are prepared and presented—considerations that extend beyond taste to the entire experience. From the ginger-scented steam rising softly from bowls of wonton soup to the thoughtfully wrapped orders for those enjoying the comfort of home, Folsom Palace shares a quiet respect for tradition while embracing the ease of modern life.

Great lunch specials. Very good and quick. Ordered beef chow fun also, one of the best I've had! Hot, tender beef, and full of flavor.

We got an assortment of dishes for a decent-sized group (15) of family, and everyone truly enjoyed the food. Some even said it was the best they ever had! The food was ready very quickly and they accurately predicated the timing so we got to bring it home hot and fresh. The portions were large enough to split amongst multiple people (2-3 each), but they don't come with rice so be sure to order some with your dish.

This is THE best Chinese food in all of Folsom and absolutely all surrounding areas. The food is made with love and the owners are so wonderful and amazing. You can’t go wrong with any of the meals here!

My whole family enjoyed this meal, particularly my parents who haven't found a favorite Chinese food restaurant since moving here 8 years ago. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was tidy and nicely decorated. I ordered to go and was pleased to see that Folsom Palace uses cardboard containers rather than plastic. The portions were generous. Delicious! We look forward to going back.

We really enjoyed our visit to Folsom Palace. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was FANTASTIC! Everything is made to order and excellent. My wife even ate two dumplings and she never likes dumplings. We will be back for more!
